Business cards are an important part of doing business. Business cards are a form of branding yourself and your business, and should use a banner or logo across everything that you put out. The more you circulate out into the public, the more people will get to know who you and your business are and the better chances of making sales.

There are some tips to follow when business card marketing. The first thing and most crucial is the look of your card. You want it to stand out from the crowd and show professionalism. Many businesses tend to go with the bland, white business card which leaves clients unimpressed. Make your business cards colorful and exciting. Add images or even a picture of yourself on your cards. This will help your clients to connect your face to your business which is within their market.

Include information on your cards such as your name, company name, logo, phone number, email address, fax number and business website. You want to provide enough information on your business card so that your clients can get in touch with you easily.

Once your business cards are designed, you will have to get them out there to the public. There are many ways to do this. Bulletin boards are a popular form of marketing and attract hundreds of people weekly. Other places are grocery stores, convenience stores, libraries, etc. Be in the habit of handing out your business card to everyone you associate with. You never know who they know who might be interested in what you are selling.

Business card marketing is a cost effective form of marketing that is extremely effective. The great thing about this type of marketing is it leaves a residual trail behind it, meaning, people hold on to business cards and you will never know when a future sale will be made. Always have a stack of business cards on you at all times to hand out daily.

With the glut of variety that the market is facing today, be it in product manufactured or in service rendered, there is a need to establish one’s business such that it can stand apart from the rest. The product itself or the service itself need not be the best in the market but the appearance should be one of authority. Displaying a sense of authority on the product or service being rendered helps in upping the market value of the object to a great deal. For example, you wouldn’t take your cherished pet to someone working vet nurse jobs if you did not believe they had supreme authority on the topic. The same is for customers when they buy products.

With the number of brands itself out there in the market, customers are inherently skeptical about each one of the brands itself. One has to build and instill belief in the customers in order to retain them in the clientele list. This holds true even for acquiring a new customer. All this happens only if one has the authority associated with the product or the service being offered.

While brand name adds a sense of credibility and respect for ones product or service there is a chance that the business house grows high headed with the increase in customers or awe in which a customer holds the business house and hears out whatever is being stated in rapt attention.

With time this high headed attitude has detrimental effect on the business house. Most times the business house starts to differentiate between a high buying customer and a low buying one. What initially had mattered equally to the business house now starts to get differential and preferential service. A catastrophe is imminent in due time for the business house and even with all its brand and authority over the product and service the business house is sure to collapse.

While branding means gaining the respect of the customers, it also means learning to respect that respect of the customers. Only then would a business continue to flourish.

Developed in August, 2006, Twitter has become one of the most popular Social Media sites on the Internet. Twitter reached over 5 billion tweets as of November, 2009 and continues to grow. Today, Twitter has over 105 million users and each day brings over 300,000 new users.

Every tweet you post can be viewed by thousands of other users within seconds. It makes sense that the more followers you obtain, the more people will view your tweets. This can be extremely powerful if done correctly and much more effective than traditional web based email marketing.

To use Twitter correctly, you must gain the trust of your followers before blasting them with tweets about your business and products. This means, sending out tweets that contain helpful and valuable information for your followers. This can be links to helpful articles, free ebooks or other means of important information.

Not only is it important to tweet helpful information, but regular participation is essential as well. The more you participate, the more you become noticed. Participating on a regular basis with Twitter is similar to "branding"yourself and your business. Along with regular participation comes the need for regular engagement with your followers such as a friendly hello, how are you and thank you.

Once you gain the trust of your followers it is okay to send out occasional tweets about your business and products. Frequent tweeting, however, can be seen as spamming and will only irritate your followers. Try to mix your business tweets with your helpful tweets.

Last but not least is your profile. Your profile speaks a lot about who you are as a business owner as well as a person. Your profile should include information that is relevant to your business. Your profile is the place to add a link back to your business website as well as pictures and content that will keep your followers coming back.

Twitter, when used correctly, is a powerful way to build your business one tweet at a time.

When it comes to business marketing, advertising is very important. There are many different aspects of advertising to consider. Three of those aspects are types of advertising, price of advertising, and analyzing the success of different advertising mediums.

There are many different types of advertising. Some of those options are direct mail, television, radio, outdoor, magazines, and newspapers. Direct mail has a high impact on the recipients. It is an advertising tactic that is in some way personalized to the one receiving it. An example of direct mail is a postcard mailing with each recipient’s name on the card. Television, radio, magazine, and newspaper advertising is self explanatory. We see it every day when we view television commercials, hear commercials during our morning talk show on the radio, see those square ads in the newspaper, or open up to that full page ad in your favorite magazine. Outdoor advertising include things like billboards, and in some cases even something as non-conventional as outdoor exhibition stands. Each of these advertising mediums are options when it comes to business marketing.

The price of advertising is obviously something to look into. The size of the business plays a huge part in deciding what advertising medium to choose. With a small business, their options might be limited. A small business may not have the cash flow like a large business has available for an expensive spot on television. Newspaper advertising is a great option to advertise to a mass amount of people for a reasonable price.

The last factor of advertising is analyzing the success of different advertising mediums. It’s important to try a variety of advertising mediums. It is equally important to track the success of the different advertising. An easy way to do this is to ask people how they heard about your business. Tracking this success is important because you don’t want to spend wastefully on a type of advertising that is not working. It is equally essential to see which advertising works the best.

When it comes to business marketing, advertising is essential. There are many ways to get the best out of advertising efforts. The three things to remember are knowing the different types available, the prices of each, and the success of the mediums you try. Take these three aspects of advertising under constant consideration and your business will get the most out of its advertising efforts.

Not everyone is “entrepreneur material”. That’s obviously a major understatement. While some people may be able to take some tin-foil, an empty-packet of crisps and some sticky-back plastic and turn it into an Amstrad computer (or a hundred-million of them, like legendary super-business-vampire Sir Alan), others can somehow take several million-pounds, a board room full of near-genius people and turn it into something akin to the verbal manifestation of pig-swill (Sir Alan’s apprentices, almost every flipping time).

One thing is clear, entrepreneurs are good on their own, but the best kind can work together to create incredible feats of achievement (and we won’t talk about the worst kind because they tend to bring down countries…). One company who knows more than a thing or two about bashing quality entrepreneurial heads together is Enigin. If you fancy some head-bashing then why not check out this link and see what I’m on about.

At Enigin TVyou will find resources to either sharpen your entrepreneurial spirit or think “why bother? These guys do it so well I may as well give up.” But it isn’t Enigin’s intention to be so good that you give up, even if that is the result. They want everyone to feel welcome, and these awesome little videos are their way of spreading the word, and allowing the smaller faces of their company to speak out personally–to show that Enigin is made valuable by the small things as well as the big. There are all kinds of videos for all kinds of entrepreneurs. Whether you are a farm entrepreneur, or a business entrepreneur, or any other one for that matter, there’s something here to make you feel included.

In today’s high tech era, computer languages are no less important than the spoken ones. One will be surprised to know that the entire concept of World Wide Web is centered on two languages namely Adobe Flash and iQuery. iQuery is a concise form of Java Script which focuses on the interaction between HTML and Java Script. Flash is a very interesting multimedia platform which can comfortably support bidirectional audio and video streaming. It is the combination of these two languages which helps to create animated and interactive websites, which not only look attractive, but also are useful to the users.

iQuery helps users to navigate through a document in a much easier way and it helps to go through any HTML document with minimum lines of code. It is never the best solution for 3D and vector based graphics. But it is so versatile in nature that people consider it to be an alternative to Adobe Flash.

The advantages of Flash are its wide variety of features, 3D usability and excellent appearance in all the important browsers, user interface built in from within, and large number of font options. It has also got many free commercial tools and can also support vector artworks to a great extent.

In the case of iQuery, it has been observed that the file size is much smaller and it contains many professional free quality programs. It also helps to attach various types of interactive webpage elements and it can be made compatible in i-phones, cell phones, PSP and PS3.

One must know which of these languages can be suitably used in which place. If you are making a slide show or drop down menus, tapped panels, pop ups and expandable elements, you must use iQuery. But when you are working with video or audio player or making complex animations, Adobe Flash is the best option available.

For more technical advice, check out this great new blog that I have just found. It is really worth a look!

This past decade with the Internet dominating just about everything these days has business owners forgetting that there are other avenues of advertising besides online. In fact, advertising strictly online is about as unhealthy to your business as not advertising at all. One effective form of offline advertising when done right is newspaper advertising. Below are some tips to place that perfect ad.

* Expand your horizons. Get your ad out there in regional and larger newspapers. It might be a bit more expensive, but you will reach a larger audience and much more response than advertising strictly local.

* Talk with the advertising representatives on which day will bring in the most viewers. Typically, this is a Sunday for most, but each paper is different. Mondays are also good especially for the male crowd because they can find their sports recaps and other features on this day. Saturday advertising is good for the budget.

* Do not be stingy on your budget when it comes to picking a good spot. If you cannot afford a full or half size page ad, then you are going to have to make due with a simple classified. This is not to say that classifieds are not powerful. However, to get the most out of your classified ad, you need to pick the right spot. This spot should be in the part of the paper that is relevant to your ad but gets the most attention. If there is no way to do this, you could pay a little extra for a color, bolded or featured ad to draw attention to it.

Newspaper advertising is still a very effective form of marketing. Think about something for a moment. Most elderly people tend to prefer the hard copy newspaper over the Internet and they typically come with money. You would be missing out on this very important crowd if you didn’t utilize the power of newspaper advertising. This is not to say that you should not implement other avenues of promotion, but it should definitely be a part of your whole marketing plan.

I have just changed some of the images on the email marketing software page, what do you all think about it? And before you say anything Dean, yes we all know that you could have done it better…

Postcard marketing can be a very effective way to get the word out on your business. It is important, however, that you use postcards the right way or else you will be wasting your time and efforts.

First, let us explore some of the many benefits of using postcards to promote your business. Unlike other direct mail, a postcard does not have to be opened. This gives you the advantage of having your message right there in front of your readers. If you design your postcard so that it catch’s the attention of your readers, you have good chance of converting them into a paying customer.

Another benefit is that a postcard is short. People generally have short attention spans. It is within the first couple sentences that will make or break your sale. With a postcard, it is easy on the eyes and your whole message can be conveyed easily without the reader having to scan through paragraphs of text or other filler material.

Postcards are an inexpensive form of advertising. Direct mail pieces tend to cost twice as much as postcards. Another benefit is a postcard can be easily tacked up on a bulletin board or on a refrigerator magnet to come back to later. If your direct mail piece doesn’t peak your reader’s attention, it is usually thrown in the trash.

Now that you are aware of some of the benefits to postcard marketing, learning some key points to using them correctly is important. First, you should make your postcards as straightforward as possible. Typically, this is a good headline, an image or two, some quick details and a call to action.

Next, in order to convert more customers with your postcards and track your progress, you might want to consider including some kind of incentive such as a limited time only coupon or other special offer and have your customers call a specific number to claim them. This not only builds your customer base, but you will know if a customer was gained through your postcard marketing.

These are just a few benefits to marketing your business with postcards. The good thing with this form of advertising is you can test it out for a few months and not put too much of a hole in your advertising budget.

Before I run away I was doing a bit research for my illustrations program and got off the phone with this great company that does Bespoke Packaging, they have a really great portfolio, if any of you are interested in marketing images you should really check them out.

When branding your business you will need to take great care that you do it right. Be sure that you know who your customers and potential customers are so that you will know how to attract them to do business with you. Here are four tips to branding your business.

Advertise regularly. This helps to keep your business at the forefront of the minds of customers and would be customers. When you advertise be sure to highlight the major benefits of your product or service.

Good customer service. Employ persons who are able to sell your brand in an effective manner. Ensure that they know the part they play in the development of your brand. Treat every customer with the utmost respect and kindness and always be of help to them. Remember one customer lost could mean ten more potential customers are lost, since people tend to not recommend to others businesses that they do not like or have had a bad experience with.

Use of technology. Using current technology in your business helps to save your resources, time, and money. If your business does not have one, you should develop a business website and market your products to the world online.

Public image. Ensure that statements and claims made by your business and its employees are true. Stay away from making promises your business can not keep nor support. Your customers must always leave your business with a good and satisfied feeling.

Some exciting news for you all before I go, I was talking to my cousin the other night and he has just got a great new gig at an human resource software company. Well done Ron!!

Facebook has become one of the most popular places to meet and build relationships with people. Many business owners are now using the power of Facebook to connect with people and build their business. However, there are some things you should consider before approaching this marketing method.

First, you have to understand the importance of building relationships when using Facebook. Your main goal is to make friends and build rapport, not sell your business. Get this wrong and you are gone! People hate to be spammed and going around emailing your business information to every Facebook user will get you banned. Instead, you want to build your friend base slowly, interacting with them, commenting on their stuff, etc. Show that you are interested in them, not in having them sign up in your business or buy products from you.

Do not try and gather up hundreds of friends in a short period of time. Instead, you want to connect with smaller groups of people and build your relationships with them first before you find new ones. This builds trust and shows you are real.

Speaking of being real, be honest and genuine with your friends. People connect with people who are truthful and not misleading. Just be yourself and you will naturally attract others to you.

Facebook marketing is a little bit different than other social network marketing. Normally, on a social network site, you would set up your profile with information about you and your business. Facebook has a more personal touch. Keep your profile about you and your everyday life. Do not sell your business on your profile. Also, do not add your business link in the website field of your profile. Instead, add a blog that is centered around your business. Once people begin to trust you, they will eventually click through to your blog and learn about your business.

Basically, your goal with Facebook marketing is to be yourself and connect with people on a more personal level. Only then can you begin to talk about your business.
And lastly, in my opinion all of those who are into this thought of a greener lifestyle really need to check this out. This Enigin Scam blog has some really inventive ideas for businesses who are concerned about thier environmental impact, I am really liking them right now.
